Customized handling without a forklift

Advantages

Jumbo bags with one or two handles represent a special solution for transporting and storing bulk materials. One or more bags can be lifted simultaneously with a hook or similar equipment, which is a significant advantage over traditional bags with four lifting points that usually require a forklift. These bags allow easier loading onto ships or trains, where a forklift is not available. They also represent the most economical type of jumbo packaging.

• Packaging various types of grains, seeds, briquettes, pellets, cement, and other materials.

Construction

Body and handles: Jumbo bags with one or two lifting points are made from a single piece of polypropylene fabric. The handles are wrapped with an additional layer of fabric and can be of different colors for easier identification of the material inside the bag.

One or two handles? Jumbo bags can have one or two handles, depending on your needs and filling machines.

Dimensions

The dimensions of the bags depend on the application, transportation, and storage. Standard dimensions include:

• Width: 60×60 cm, 62.5×62.5 cm, 75×75 cm, 80×80 cm, 85×85 cm, 90×90 cm, 95×95 cm
• Bag height: 50 – 200 cm
• Handle length: 20 – 70 cm

Film

To protect materials from moisture, jumbo bags often contain polyethylene film with a thickness of 60 to 90 microns. The film provides hygroscopic protection of the materials and can be:

• Loose tube liner: The most common and economical type of liner. Welded at the bottom and closed with a drawstring at the top.
• Loose tube liner with corner entry: Welded at the top with an entry at one corner.
• Loose formliner film: Film in the shape of a bottle that creates an inlet and/or outlet valve, can be loosely inserted into bags.
• Formliner film fixed in the handles: Film fixed in the handles to prevent movement after filling.

Inlet and bottom of the bag

• Inlet: Can be open, with an inlet valve, or with a skirt.
• Bottom: Sewn from a special piece of square polypropylene fabric and can have an outlet valve, a hooded valve, or a flat bottom.

Load capacity

The load capacity of bags with one or two lifting points is usually from 400 to 1000 kg, with a safety factor of SF 5:1 or 6:1.

Printing

Printing on jumbo bags depends on customer needs, including company name, logo, basic information, and usage instructions. The quality of printing significantly contributes to the marketing advantage of our customers, especially for bags intended for packaging fertilizers.
